You are responsible for
- Ensures the proper performance of all accounting operations, as per established corporate policies and processes, providing improvement proposals where required
- Cooperates with internal and third parties regarding the financial statements preparation (monthly/ quarterly/ yearly – including statutory reporting) and respective month-end close processes
- Responsibility for all accounting systems and processes for the company, including design, optimization, operation and issue resolution
- Monitors Project finance under IFRS (incl. hedging & effective interest rate calculation)
- Reviews accounting reports (ageing, vendor and customer account details, etc.) and recommends appropriate actions
- Handles and monitors cash flow operations, including receivables collection and payments execution
- Maintains & develops effective relationships with banks and monitors loan agreements
- Ensures compliance with all tax, reporting and accounting requirements as are set by the law from time to time and provides advice on tax treatment where necessary
- Responsible for ensuring the proper system update with any accounting records by their team
- Acts as liaison with external auditors and ensures smooth completion of the audits
- Develops and supports the growth of the Section’s team
Your Education & Qualifications are
- BSc / MSc in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Economics
- A’ Class accounting permit
- Experience 5-7 years as a senior accountant, out of which 2 years in a similar supervisory role
- Sound knowledge on Accounting/ Audit/ IFRS and other relevant standards
- Proficient in the Greek and English language (verbal and written)
- Knowledge on MS Office especially Excel
- Experience in SAP R3 / SAP S4 HANA environment
- Sound understanding of tax regulations
